Civitans are everyday citizens, just like you and me, who come together in communities throughout the world to make life better for their neighbors. Family, friends, neighbors and co-workers meet at local Civitan clubs to socialize, learn and serve in their communities. Starting with just a single club, and a vision for helping others, Civitan has grown to over 40,000 members in 24 countries, including youth and college programs. Founded on the most basic moral and spiritual values, Civitans' commitment to identify and address needs in their communities have set them apart from other social and service organizations. Local Civitan clubs sponsored Junior Civitan clubs, a service organization for middle school and high school students.   Junior Civitan, the oldest and most successful program of Civitan International, is a community service organization for young people. Junior Civitans help others, particularly those with developmental disabilities, assist those less fortunate, and promote environmental and drug abuse awareness. Generally, Junior Civitans improve their schools and communities through service to others. Currently there are more than 15,000 members in almost 500 clubs.  Junior Civitan continues to be one of the fastest growing service organizations in the world with clubs in North America, Europe, and Africa.Campus Civitan is an affiliated service organization for college students.
