Jack and Jill of America is a family organization providing cultural, civic, and recreational activities that expand the mind to enhance life. Our goals include creating a medium of contact for children which stimulate their growth and development, providing constructive educational, cultural, civic, social and service programs for children, aiding mothers in learning more about their children by careful study, seeking for all children the same advantages we desire for our own, and supporting all national legislation aimed at bettering conditions for all children. The organization continues to dedicate its resources to improving the quality of life, particularly for African-American children. Each year, chapter programming activities are guided under a national theme in adherence to fulfillment of our organizational’s goals. Individual chapters embrace a plan of action geared toward a united commitment to address and help alleviate disturbing community problems effecting children. We have taken bold new steps, not only in raising awareness of children’s needs and concerns in our communities, but actually doing something about it. Jack & Jill chapters are making a difference in the lives of their families and those in the communities we serve.
