Welcome to
United States Junior Chamber of Commerce
(Jaycees)
"We Help People"
The United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young people between the ages of 21 and 39 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections. The U.S. Junior Chamber is a non-profit corporation/organization providing opportunities for young men and women to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others. Jaycees have raise millions of dollars for causes such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the March of Dimes. They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide. With the focus of the nation on volunteerism, from the smallest towns to the largest cities, the Jaycees are enlarging areas of opportunity for young people. Chapters large and small, in communities from rural America to our metropolitan centers work hard on specific projects geared to making life in that area better. There are also projects that chapters run annually in conjunction with chapters from coast to coast. We call these programs, the National Community Projects. Such a project is the Jaycees Against Youth Smoking (JAYS), is a free, educational program that goes directly into elementary and middle school classrooms to teach children about the dangers of smoking and to help them make the informed decision to be smoke free. Another such national project is the Youth Education Support program (YES) is any project or program that assists a child’s education. Many of you are already running this type of program and some of you may find the “need” to start a project in your community to assist with youth education.
