Welcome to

National Federation of Catholic Youth

"To Serve Those Who Serve the Young Catholic Church"

We, the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), participate in the mission of the Catholic Church by advocating for and supporting Catholic youth ministry on the national, diocesan, and local level. As a professional organization of affiliated dioceses and collaborating members, we: advocate for the role and needs of young people in the Church and in society and promote the role of the Church and the Gospel in the lives of young people; promote a comprehensive approach to youth ministry as articulated in Renewing the Vision; provide leadership, resources, services, and conferences for the education and formation of diocesan leaders, youth ministers, and young people; support diocesan youth ministry leaders and collaborating members; and, dialogue and collaborate with the U.S. Catholic Bishops and national leadership organizations for the promotion of youth ministry and the professional development of  church leaders. The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting, biennial four-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperons. NFCYM collaborates with the organizational structures of the Catholic Church and with other ministry and youth-serving organizations that affect the field of youth ministry. The Family of Godprogram is the official religious recognition program of the Roman Catholic Church in the U.S.A. for children ages 7-9, who are enrolled in the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., Camp Fire USA, and The Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
