"Supporting Families to Nurture Potential of Healthy Drug Free Youth"

The National Family Partnership (NFP) was created in 1980 by parents across America in response to the rising level of youth drug use. The mission of the National Family Partnership is to lead and support our nation's families and communities to nurture the full potential of healthy, drug-free youth. The National Family Partnership works to accomplish its mission through parent training and networking and sponsoring the National Red Ribbon Campaign. The Red Ribbon Campaign is an opportunity to send a consistent "No Drug" message to young people. National Family Partnership needs your help to deliver that message. Imagine when young people hear the No Drug message at home, at school, at religious services and through the media; they accept and believe that " They Have The Power To Be Drug Free." NFP promotes the "Too Smart To Start" public education campaign that focuses on preventing nine to 13 year olds from underage alcohol use. The program aims to increase the perception of harm, parent-child communications and public disapproval of underage alcohol use.
